Atlanta business owners keep it local.

Business owners across Atlanta find more comfort
dealing with a local web design firm then outsourcing to a national, or global
provider, and for good reason.
Examining even a small but valuable resources to the local web designer,
Craigslist, you can tell very quickly that most small businesses, with less
extravagent budgets prefer to work with someone they can meet with face to face.
Every day, small business owners can be found posting on craigslist looking for
that needle in the haystack they can use to bring thier business to the
internet.
I recently did a test to see what my competition was on craigslist by posting my
own ad looking for a Web Designer local to atlanta with asp.net experience.
Within a week of the posting, I had received more than 200 responses, and almost
every single one of them was from some place other than Atlanta. Despite me
being very clear on the posting.
This is a good thing, and a bad thing for me. It's a good thing because it means
there are not alot of active Atlanta web designers utilizing craigslist as a
form of marketting, which is surprising. It's a very bad thing because people
are obviously posting what they want, and others are just spamming craigslist.
This aside, there is no doubt that local small businesses are actively seeking
local web designers they can see, talk to, meet with, and stay in contact with
more directly through the development process.
