  Change the width of your Google Site Search Control
Written by Daniel Longieliere on July 3

I recently added the full functionality of Googles ajax search control on logicul.com.

After I got it all working using the top search bar anywhere on the site, which was a task in itself as I myself do not do as much javascript as Micheal does.

Once it was all working, I found that the default width of the google search column was WAY too narrow, probably so wordpress people could use it without having to know CSS.

Well it took me a great deal of time to find the solution, and I wanted to share it, and help it get syndicated across the web.

1. Make sure the div you are housing the results control in is set to the correct width using css.
2. Add this line to your style sheet:
.gsc-control{width:100% !important}

That should do it.
