Email Scams to watch out for

Recently there have been a rash of email scams coming from foreign countries.
While this is nothing all that new, this is a rather large influx of scammers. You should be aware of the risks involved with trusting anything you get in your email unless you 100% know for sure that it is from a trusted source.
For example, Lately, one of our company email addresses got picked up on the net, and I receive atleast one scam a day from various people.
Here are some things to watch out for
1. What email address is the sender using?
If it is ***@whitehouse.gov, or *@microsoft.com, you can probably trust it. If it is a gmail account, or yahoo or any other free email service, beware.
2. What do they want?
Let's be real guys, are they trying to give you free money? Who does that? Why would you be receiving it? Did some king in some country just die and they want to give you all his money? If its too good to be true it is, plain and simple.
3. Does it have anything to do with western union, or money orders?
If it does, its a scam, hands down, no reason to think about it, scam.
